The door is sealed with a special gasket and kept closed with a handle as well as the weight of the water. So, the door cannot be open if there is water in the tub. The tub fills and empties in minutes. The So Lo model can be installed in the same amount of space as a standard bathtub and is the same height as a standard bath. The Safety Bath can be installed with the same plumbing as a standard bath as well.
