I love the concept of this cutting board...
What rock have I been hiding under that I didn't know something like this existed?
We use cutting boards all of the time for everything in the kitchen. We even have an extra thick cutting board which temporarily creates a higher working surface so Aaron can use the counter more comfortably (he's 6'7").
But I didn't know a product like this sliding cutting board from Kohler existed. I will admit that I played with this far too long in the display and other people were beginning to wonder.

Obviously, I need to get out more.

IKEA has (or had at one time) a nice thick cutting board very similar to the Kohler product. However the IKEA cutting board has a lip on opposite ends so you can flip the board over and use the other side if you want.

The original cabinets in my grandma's house (built in the 50's) has one of these.

Okay, not to be stupid, but is it just a cutting board with a lip so it sits right up against the edge of the counter?
I have to say that I'm not a big fan of wooden cutting boards. I know they're aesthetically better and better for your knives than plastic ones, but I am just too lazy to hand wash them, so they end up getting cracked and nasty.
