One of my best friends, Parker, is moving this week :(
I won't get all weepy on you here. That's for later. But we snapped some pics of her lovely bungalow that is staying here in Chicagoland. It is a magical house....all the more so because Parker is an artist from her hair to her toes and she creates incredible spaces.
This is the side door that takes you into the kitchen. It's the one we use when we see her through the window baking something tasty. (click on any photo to enlarge it.)
When you enter the door, turn to the right and admire her built-in cabinets (that were original to the house) as you enter the kitchen. She and her husband are the third owners of this lovely place.
She would invite you to sit at this little table under the window to enjoy some tea as she finishes baking.
Her daughter and son are probably playing underfoot as you chat. And that would explain the formula on the counter by the sink.
The first owners of the house had set their little refrigerator into the wall (a built on garage used to be back there...now it's a guest room.) You don't see it in the next room because there are deep closets on either side of it. On the kitchen side, the tall closet right next to the fridge is a bin for root vegetables? Or a bag of dog kibble. Whichever works.
The door next to the refridgerator leads to the back garden. And to the left of the fridge is the stove and the hood and more cabinets. (We forgot to take that picture! We were talking.)
But we have many pictures of Parker's other rooms, which we will share here.
We'll miss her being so close by. But, Parker, we plan to log many miles between Eastern Michigan and our bungalow...don't let my handsome godson and his sweet sister grow up too fast while I'm not around...go EMU Eagles! Yay Jeff!
P.S. Nice pic, dude. Where'd you get the suit? ;)

Wow! Thanks for posting pics of that fabulous kitchen. It is nice to see an original inset fridge since we are contemplating doing something similar in our kitchen. Can't wait to see more photos of that cute house.

Heather--
I thought of you and Dave, that's why I posted the pictures of her kitchen. Your kitchen will look magnificent when you're done.
